About SGAA

This is an exciting time for the SGAA. As high school alumni associations go, we are still just getting started. Our activities these days are more about creating traditions than carrying them out. Everyone who gets involved has an opportunity to have a hand in creating Skyline history—or even Idaho history, because the SGAA is the first such organization for any Idaho public high school. Let’s show them how it’s done!

Principal Josh Newell explains
some of the school’s needs to
members of the SGAA Board of Directors

The original organizing group come from the Classes of 1970 and 1971, around their 50th Reunions, both of which were held in 2021 because of the pandemic. We’ve been reaching out to others in several ways including this website and a Facebook page; extracting the names of senior-year class officers from old Behemoths in the Skyline library and trying to contact them; talking to friends; attending as many class reunions as we can find to introduce the SGAA;
and more.

We’ve also been working to build cooperative relationships with Skyline and District 91
administrators and the Skyline Booster Club. We’re pleased with progress so far and look forward to many years of fruitful collaboration.

The Skyline Grizzlies Alumni Association is incorporated under Idaho law, as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Its mission:

To recruit and organize the talents and resources of thousands of Skyline alumni in
order to serve students, alumni, faculty, and administrators of Skyline High School Idaho Falls itself. We work with the school, District 91, alumni, and others to identify projects that will enhance the success of the students, support the interests of alumni, and strengthen the community. The Board of Directors will work always to carry out
SGAA functions with transparency and accountability to members and donors, in a
manner consistent with the highest standards for nonprofit charitable organizations.
